There's still a lot to do.Completed this week: Framing inspection passed Started sheetrock, first coat of tape and float is complete Interior doors and trim ordered Waiting on plumber yard lines before starting landscaping Draw 6 processed

It's hard because sometimes  a paint job requires tons of extra spackling / mudding, other times none, sometimes it's same color so 1 coat, sometimes no trim, or one coat. 

New construction and rehabs are 2 different animals so you can't compare prices.

We have begun first with the animals and a lovely natural animal structure.  

I guess he thought because he can make his cars perfectly smooth that he could do the same thing with spackle and drywall, I left after hanging some sheet rock and taping my first coat, I came back to find that he tried to put a second coat on my work and I ended up having to scrape and sand all the thick clumpy spackle that he smeared on top of my nice smooth first coat.

Out of my own curiosity, who did you go to for the animation and voice-over?

They're coming back to fix this hack job and they'll be coating the roof with a white elastomeric coating on their dime to hide their sloppy work.We're finishing the basement after all.

@Benjamin Allen- "Detroit" and "Metro Detroit" are very different animals, but both have good and bad areas to invest in.
