If you own the majority, it means nothing other than you have the majority votes.

Generally, our homes in BB do better (more activities, 2 ski resorts, a public lake) than Lk Arrowhead (private lake and there is a vote this month to eliminate STR guest access to the lake).

With majority ownership voting rights you would have a lot of sway on HOA dues, rule/declaration changes, and which board members get elected.

Any municipality with a population over 25,000 can vote in home rule.

I'll throw in another vote for Avail.

As I understand it, the City of Palm Desert votes not to issue new permits/licenses for STRs in R1 and R2 neighborhoods.
