If you want to live in one of the prime areas of Peninsula in a decked out duplex or fourplex and can afford it, you could potentially do very well with business travelers down there..

Since then I have been listening to one podcast a day at work, and a few while traveling.  

In my area we have a lot of international students that travel back home for the summer but don't want to lose their housing.  

Do you ever travel down to Richmond?

@Chanelle Dupre  From a macro level most people start with sfr (single family residences) rentals because they're familiar and affordable but as their portfolio grows servicing and managing houses scattered across a metro or worse, across several markets involves a larger and larger amount of travel and that takes a toll on returns, peace of mind and family.

We did just start a Central Jersey group though for those looking not to travel quite as far.

I write poker theory and am a very good player and I believe that I can make enough playing poker to cover our expenses while we are traveling and this will free up my retirement checks to be invested in more real estate.

I only say that because I have lived in Memphis all my life and even before I got into Real Estate investing, I knew that one street in Memphis can be good, but then travel a few blocks and the area turns quickly.

I'm renting my condo furnished for 3 and a half months to two traveling nurses.
