What was previous owners disclosure,, call your realtor and get this figured out before you do any tear out or additional work. your going t need to figure out what can be zoned in this neighborhood and now what's needed to comply, they could simply make you tear it out back to original.. you should contact a lawyer.Claim it as a duplex ??
