That being said, you may have tax implications you have to address and perhaps need to do a 1031 exchange so as not to pay the taxes on the depreciation and the capital gains. 

@Fareed Khamitov As @Chris Szepessy has mentioned above, one has to gain experience to be able to work in "war zones".

If its a long term hold, the benefits are worth it. 

As for the issue of tax benefits of the mortgage  interest, well thats a moot point with the new tax plan, and I am happy to forgo that considering the fact that I saved almost $200K over the life of the loan.

And if it is, can my personal LLC withdraw 50% of the profits (rent, gains at sale) legally?

Hi everyone,I am looking for a great property manager to work for to bring great value to and to gain experience and knowledge in the field.

I'm a mechanical engineer currently working full time in the utility industry.The more I read and learn, the more I'm realizing that my next move would be to invest passively to gain experience for future investments.

I feel like this property would offer a relatively safe environment to gain those experiences. 

Just trying to gain a better understanding of how to go about this.
