:If your income is "low on paper", you have a "healthy amount of cash on hand", and your primarily concerned with your DTI and future borrowing ability, then there is no scenario where leasing a car would be better than buying one outright with cash.There are actually a variety of scenarios where leasing would make more sense.

I can see how there would be great demand for electric, but cost definitely remains a huge limiting factor, as does options, variety, and tech advancement.I guess a lot of this comes down to timing - would a recession coupled with high oil prices cause a sudden increase in demand for electric which would then facilitate a faster advancement of electric auto technology and adoption?

A 10-15 minute drive from that area can put you in a wide variety of neighborhoods....some great, others awful.

Under the first proposal, the EPA would require Dust Wipe Testing in a variety of circumstances, including: 1.Use of a heat gun below 1100° F 2.Removal or Replacement of Window or Door Frames 3.Scraping of 60ft2 or more of painted surface 4.Removal of more than 40ft2 of Trim, Molding, Cabinets or other Fixtures 5.Use of Machines designed to remove paint through high speed operations 6.The Demolition or Removal, through destructive means, of more than 6ft2 of plaster and lath building components Cleaning Verification would still be required.

There are a variety of reasons why people don't qualify, but if you do, the money is cheapest. 

The walls are usually biscuit or some other variety of builder-beige, and the trim is either white or vanilla.
