I started my career as a carpenter(custom homes and high rise formwork), went to school for civil engineering technology, became a construction estimator (high rise residential and commercial), then a construction project manager (commercial leasehold improvements) and now am involved with building a Light Rail Transit Project in Canada's Capital.I live about an hour south of Ottawa and came to learn about bigger pockets by listening to the podcast during my daily commute to the city.I am looking to get my business started in real estate with rehabbing projects.

@Russell Brazil my closing attorney doesn't litigate, and he offered to file the lis pendens at no cost (except the $53 filing fee from the town) so I know that his advice wasn't predicated on receiving billable hours.

A registered agent can either be yourself or whomever else you designate to receive important legal and tax documents on behalf of your business (i.e. annual reports, tax docs or statements sent by the state, litigation notices, etc).The thing to keep in mind is that whoever the registered agent is, they must have a physical address & contact info on file (no P.O. boxes)--and it's public record.
