I'm new to investing in the Cleveland area (originally from the west side but live out of state now) and thinking about trying to buy and rent out either a 2-bedroom apartment in a condo highrise such as Lakeview's gold coast, or a house in an area such as Ohio City or Tremont.

I will venture a guess this home will sell before the end of this month.Local banks are a gold mine for finding deals.

And ultimately, experience is the gold standard with this.

Good off-market deals are hard to find gold nuggets but are out there. 

You may set out mining for gold, but be flexible enough to capitalize on silver or diamonds if you happen to find them.
