It gives the upgrade appearance and some patterns look like marble or granite.Vinyl planks are nice but in a  building common area in NYC its the "wish i had real hardwood" look.  

If you can drive there with a uhaul, I would do that to get it going on the cheap and then upgrade and add things over time. 

I've personally know investors and homeowners alike who purchased cheaper, lower quality lvp and had it fail within a couple years.Tile is prone to being broken/cracked. 

I asked my PM to take a look and they swore to me it was broken and they would need to replace it with one of their own locks.  

They will happily shut it down if you tell them it’s broken unsafe or leaking.

Nothing is really outdated but how crazy should I get with doing any upgrades?  

I was able to buy properties that had significant upgrades and improvements and rent them for higher than market prices due to their close in location.
