"Pet rent" is a little more grey - the Residential Tenancies Act does appear to preclude such additional rent amounts, but the practice is widespread and, thus-far, the authorities appear to tolerate it.We only allow pets in select buildings: either ones where we have inherited pets and have yet to perform any substantial retrofit or where the building was renovated with pets in-mind.

It's one thing to be interested in real estate but you need to take an actionable step and commit yourself to handle the obstacles that exist on the pathway to success. 

We looked at detroit, but since this would our first step in the state, don't wanna go there quite yet due to the high crime 

But the real question is, what is the, THE market to start researching the neighborhoods and properties and contacting realtors to take the first step.
