This is the main issue I have seen when people look to structure seller financing deals.

There were daily issues and when they didnt complete the job, nor complete it properly I went to his office to complain.

That condo association KNEW they had structural issues, but delayed / chose not to fix them. 

Curious if anyone is paying the mortgage directly themselves and if that could or would create any issues not coming from the original borrower?

Sometimes the issue is they just need something they can use their loan on and a lot of our options are fully renovated and priced over their reach or need so much work.

I hope your situation never comes a hard time--bad tenant, improper fixes, legal issues-- because those are the times when you'll wish you would've had that layer of protection. 

May or may not be a CPA or EA, most likely they are seasonal, most likely you'll never talk to them again if you have an issue, you'll get someone else, most likely you will receive minimal to no advice on any kind of strategy, and definitely no follow up.If you are getting good service from a knowledgeable professional, $1,200 is likely a good deal.
