That was probably a decade ago.Since then, the biggest impediments to the uptake of peer-2-peer lending and crowdfunding in this country has been the requirement that all investors be accredited.There are additional hurdles (unless they have found a way to address it) with crowdfunding real estate purchase.

It's the largest cross city investment relationship in the country from what I was told.

I would not have hired an accountant outside of the country to do your taxes.Furthermore - a 1031 can add some complexity to a return.If you decide not to use the current accountant - you should at the very least ask an accountant to review your work product.Regardless if a written contract was in place or not - he did the work and you should not stiff him for the time that he spent unless you can point out that he is grossly incorrect with the return that he prepared.

So unless you're ready to do a remote rehab rehab cross country to try and salvage the deal, then is not for the faint of heart and should be left to those with eons of experience in the industry.

You can take a look at the other ABC thread where one out of country investor recently complained that ABC took not just hers, but 40 other Hong Kong investors' money , was completely nonresponsive and they were banding together to get a lawyer to contact ABC on their behalf.

Finding a park anywhere in the country right now is becoming more difficult as a lot of attention is being put on the industry and there is only a limited number of parks out there. 

Hi @Katie Stroman - folks all across the country do this.

But there is one problem with the book (or me)...The problem is that it opens the whole country up as a possibility.

My questions are:  Is that price structure standard around the country, or are there others?
