How are you planning on acquiring this - is this through house hacking, turnkey, MLS? 

Hello all, I have been thinking of doing a house hack for some time now but I am not sure if my profession disqualifies me since I travel for most of the year.

I think you’re idea to house hack a four plex is a great idea as long as you want to live next to your tenants:)

We’ve done a couple house hacks that had substantial profits and have convinced ourselves that real estate is our answer to financial freedom.

Hi Jonathan, Yes you can use and FHA, and it's a great way to house-hack if you can find a triplex or quad that works for you since you only have to have the crazy-low 3.5% down. 

@Rahul Srivastava Personally I would recommend a house hack as the fastest way to build up your passive income dream.

(Mainly small multi-families to house hack) BUT Thank YOU for sharing your journey to FI, its awesome to see the IL forum active!

Then, 3-6 months to your lease being up, start looking for house hack opportunities with someone like @Jake Fugman or @Sarita Scherpereel in Chicago.

I’m looking to house hack for my first home here in Houston,Tx.But not having any luck on the MLS If anyone has any off market deals or tips on how to find a good deal I would really appreciate it.
