Before you invest in stock in a publicly traded company, do you tour the facilities?

@Mason HickmanThank you for the reply Mason, those are some things I thought of as well, self managing for a bit to help with cashflow early on could be a good trade off.

It's in a gentrifying part of Houston where it's historically been low/middle income but now the homes around it are trading for $500k-$1M.

All would have to be done on auto pilot.Trying to plan 1033 exchange.Due to very high property taxes and HOAmy income is less than 1000 a month, depending on cost of repairs.I would be able to rent for maybe 500more, butI keep the tenant, because he is 10 years over there and I am abroad.If I would sale I would pay well over 100ktaxes.any advice, and how to look for investment properties on line,and whom to trust, I am looking for recommendations.I am retired.regards e

I'm willing to be the bad guy here, but I want to make sure I have this clearly organized before I execute the plan.I have thought of asking them to transfer title to me, but then would the tax implications negate the benefits?
