Assuming this means 1. the brokerage has to be aware of every transaction and/or 2. the brokerage has to collect a % of compensation from each transaction you're involved in.If you are involved in any transaction as an agent (this includes out of state referral transactions) I would assume your brokerage would have to be involved.
