The ideal would be that they counter your initial offer and start communication, but when the multiple offer email hits your inbox how do you make this communication happen?

:)I think what Ned is saying is that there is a community, content, discussions, etc. here that is invaluable when it comes to helping a new investor learn the basics and figure out a path..........But, as Ned said, BiggerPockets is a great place to start that process...you have 100,000 members and volumes of content to help you figure out what path you should travel...Yes J perhaps I was, and you (hopefully others) all know I feel the same way about BP, what was being communicated was pick your mentors carefully. And as Terry mentioned, the best mentors will be local, I have advised people all over the country, but I can only go so far not knowing what local laws and customs are.See Terry, I don't know everything!

I would encourage you to view social media as just another means of communicating...the ones who do really well balance their approach with both real life off line connecting, networking, and sharing with the on line approach of social networking. When you're out and about, invite folks to connect with you THEN actually be interesting enough to be worth connecting to...after looking at your current FB page, you have very few photos and everyone knows photos are a HUGE factor in FB being an amazing reason people are interested in other people :)Balance your on-line with your off-line networking...and if you're mostly an on-line networker, then stay consistent, join conversations, and stay top of mind.

It complicates communications, explaining one cost as one thing to an investor, then the same cost as something different to the accountant and banker, why not have everyone on the same page?

If he ever moves, I'll have a breakdown ;)Once we sent a baby gift to a tenant - they responded a few months later by not telling us about a job loss, and simply stopped paying rent and communicating.

Your condo board president is stealing from everyone in the building, not just you.At this point, I would have my lawyer communicate to the condo board president that you're going to pursue criminal charges unless the president 1) agrees to immediately step down, and 2) pay for all of your legal fees and the money that was wrongfully appropriated for personal use.
