I see all over the web companies charging to promote your site using I guess what is called "black hat" techniques, one of them being placing backlinks on high PR websites.

That's money spend actually promoting your business.

They seem about right to me.I agree with the philosophy @Steven Maduro is promoting.

Chris - How about not using illegal signs to promote your business?

Some people on BP brag or promote $1, $10, etc EM.  

I called one of my credit card companies and asked for a zero percent promotion since I hadn't use it in awhile.  

I plan to hold + rent the home for 10+ years, and I'd rather not have to spend a lot of time/money/energy maintaining the gutters (nor would I expect renters to be diligent about maintaining them, even if I included such a specification in my lease).I chatted with a gutter repair contractor, and he advised me to stay away from aluminum seamless, although that appears to be the most widely-promoted option.
