I went to visit him over the weekend and the basement he lives in has no smoke detectors no egress windows and really spotty electrical through the ceilings. there are five rooms in this basement that are currently being rented out.After I spent a few hours trying to convince him this place is unsafe and needs to be taken care of he mentioned it to his landlord and she told him he has to move out and the next day she said she wants to evict him.He's afraid to call the city and report it because if they force him out he has nowhere to go. and that would put out his roomates that he doesnt want to screw over.

I've already started doing research on rentals in Philly that range from 8-10k I'm planning on spending most of my weekends working on my first property.

I've always had a passing interest in real estate (even when I was a kid in Jacksonville, FL and remember seeing the Tom Vu and Carlton Sheets infomercials on weekends and late at night).I've always wanted to become wealthy/financially independent, but most importantly I just want freedom.

During school break, San Antonio Riverwalk (most visited "attraction" in the whole state) could bring in weekend renters as well, for high-return as well...

I did some serious cleaning this weekend and found some nests.

Hello everyone,just starting out in real estate investing and this site which has been a great read by the way.. so I almost fell for the bus tour 30k event in sunny California when I went to Armando's 3 day, $ 1,500 seminar in Cambridge ma last weekend... to be honest it was informative for basic flip techniques, but was so annoying listening to great he is at real estate investing, but I guess he is, I mean he has turn key properties for you to invest in which he already owns, then he owns the PM company that will be running your property so I guess hes making cash at every end of the deal !!!!
