Residents are paying for the convenience of a fully furnished household (with a handyman and cleaner) but typically treat it like a long term property while they live in it.Hopefully that's helpful.

I'm surprised to hear this still goes on, but I guess people have short term memory loss.

Location / conveniently located near my house and easy to manage.

I do not own a car and DFW is not quite public transportation nor bike friendly, so I prefer to live conveniently close to work (I walk to work right now).

Also, it was surprising how many real estate agents and loan officers inquired about a rental stating that they had been foreclosed upon.
