Hi was was wondering if anyone here in Chicago or surrounding areas have purchased from the cook county land bank and if so what kind of loan did u get if any to buy and fix it up or develop a property any info would be very helpful thanks

I have been living in my home I grew up in and next year I am looking to move out .

I think Chris makes a good point of determining the strategy - performing 1st position notes is always a safe "dipping toes in the water" type of note to go with. 

I am renovating a walk out single family home to have a separate legal unit in the walk-out basement.
