BDO is a top 10 public accounting firm.There is no question that there are smart and intelligent individuals over there, I have many friends who work for them.However, I wonder what the quote that you received from them was.I often find it that there should be a match of the client and the servicer.Large firms normally look for large clients.Smaller firms normally hire smaller clients.When I describe large/small clients, I am referring to amount of properties, cost of properties, complexity of structure, etc.The best time to engage with a CPA is normally before the tax season starts(Before January 15th).

@Lyn GreenHaving an LLC/S-corp does not change the income tax deductions you are entitled to having.If you have an LLC and it is a multi-member LLC, there is a partnership return filing requirement.If you have an S-corp, there is an S-corp tax return filing requirement.You should speak with a CPA to engage proper next steps.Good luck in your search.

The most effective way to determine the time needed to execute these functions is to run a critical path analysis that lays the tasks out along with the parties that will be employed to do them and the processing time needed for the consultants you will engage and the city/town/county process they will be subjected to.The critical path will inform you as to which due diligence functions are sequential in nature and or which ones can or should be run in tandem.

If I go in and bid 20 or 30 thousand higher, most of the bidders are going to drop out of the bidding process, and I'll probably end up paying less in the end than if I keep 10 or 15 other bidders engaged by thinking they can just go up another small amount.If I want the property, 5 or 10 grand isn't going to be the deciding factor on whether I want it or not, so I'll just figure out what I'm willing to pay and bid it up close to that, usually under, but not enough to play a game.
