I’m considering buying a condo in the SW Waterfront neighborhood (Potomac Place Towers) of DC, and am wondering if it’s a good financial decision.

Hey @Jose Grimaldo, this is a tough decision and one that you need to make based on what is best for you. 

Leveraging time is tough for many to do, as easy as the concept might seem, but look at the most successful people you have ever read about and they make this leverage of time decision many times per day in all aspects of their life.

Getting alignment on early decisions and engagement with the lender took quite some time to get established - ultimately this led to some delays in closing.

I started at 22 with a 3 family househack and it was the best decision I ever made.

Luckily my agent is super on top of it and has a lot of information so that I still feel like I can make an informed decision about whether a property is worth making an offer on or not. 

It removes  yourself from the decision making seat and places it on oversight rules and city codes but as Greg pointed out, I may be wrong on the city code angle.
