Based on things she said to us in her last days, I believe my mom's wish for me and my siblings is to create generational wealth or start family businesses—which will be, in a way, her gift to the grandkids she will never get to meet.Well, my husband is pretty against the fixing/flipping/renting game, citing our inexperience and the risk involved.

However, I choose not to invest in high crime neighborhoods because there are high inherent risks of vacancy, non-payment of rent, theft, and inability to find quality tenants.

@Alexander SziklaHi. thank you for your response.I after all these years have not been renting in NYC I dropped my apartment last year and have been living rent free with my GF in her owned home. so thats good news.
