I might be wrong, but I believe the models I have will only allow 1 phone to connect and control the unit with the app - so taking control of the thing while the tenant is gone might be kind of a logistical problem - with you having to log out so the tenant can log in.

im looking to make my first investment purchase in the syracuse area and would really love any kind of direction available. i dont know any other investors in the area to learn from or how to get in contact with a good investment property realtor. if anyone has an opinion to share i would greatly appreciate it

I've waded off into those waters before, although in an area that was incorporated so there was much more red tape(i.e. money).
