Hi all,Looking to connect with those who run assisted living facilities in the NJ,NY, PA Area.

In the east coast, that isn't the case-there are a few states where it is cheaper.I'd forget about east coast vs west coast and look across the country to see where the best opportunities are that meet your criteria.

I have spent some time researching real estate investing and have been trying to connect with more people for advice/ opportunities.

Read the book the 16% Solution to get the beginning basics.Attend sales, network with people at the sales.If the countries around you give a basics class before the sale, attend those.Read your state law several times and again 1 or 2x a year as you will see something different each time you read and as you gain experience.https://leginfo.legislature.ca...See if the counties you have interest in have websites like this...https://www.solanocounty.com/d...I always say be very very careful with the national road show classes that come thru with a free 2-3 hour seminar and then 3 day training. 

We’re considering an AirBNB out there but am curious if anyone has experience investing in that country.

I was reading some articles (like the one linked here) about there being a federal ruling late last year regarding how buyers' agents will not receive direct commission from home sales in the future. https://www.paloaltoonline.com/real-estate/2024/02/20/after-...However, my cousin, who is currently a buyers agent with Compass in CA says not much will change, stating that if buyers' agents aren't paid, then who will connect homebuyers with the right sellers?  

If you're near Detroit, you have a huge opportunity to be local to what is probably the most unique market in the country today.$50k is a tough amount though.
