I have tried working with REAs from Zillow or Realtor, but find that they mostly (if not only) deal in SFH, and don’t seem to be well versed in the investing side of things (as far as escrow, refi’s, contract contingencies, cap rates, return etc.).I know it’s a tough/high market to buy in, but I am ready to start hunting with a REA who understands house hacking investment.I’m currently looking for a 2, 3, or 4 door property in the SoFlo area, although I’m fairly flexible so long as the numbers work.

@James Masotti @Natalie Moore - I've got a duplex in Wilm, in the hunt right now - I've been doing research about the DDD recently as I'm getting ready to work on picking up a second property, what are the advantages there? 

I still hunt deals that way, as do most investors in my town.  

Keep hunting for and following leads and keep writing offers.

Volume is up now and the markets are better in a lot of areas.You could also use your old contacts for attorneys, buyers, sellers, tax accountants, etc. to hunt for deals.

There's an uptick in October and November for me as folks come in for hunting.
