I use the local publication to receive the sale notices, but they also publish hearing notices as well (which from what I understand is earlier in the foreclosure process than sale notices).

However, if  a tree is infringing on a public right of way, the City will trim it and may, at their discretion, bill the property owner.While it is common practice to have tenants in SFRs mow the lawn and shovel the snow and though tenancy law does not specifically address groundskeeping, we have always seen tree trimming as our (the owner's) responsibility - either for safety reasons or to prevent damage to our property.

If these were my two options, I would pick the area between Adams Village and Ashmont Station in Dorchester because of the location itself and the proximity to downtown Boston, Quincy, and Milton, and the availability of public transportation is also a plus.Depending on your style and needs, this small area has single family homes, great Victorian style houses, condos, apartments, and two and three family units.
