I've been hearing a lot of beginners say that they are looking for a mentor, and I've also been hearing a lot of experienced investors say that a mentor is the best way to go.But I was wondering, how many of you all started out in real estate on your own?

Ill have to look into that.I just lost my job yesterday, so Im wondering if now isnt the best time to leap headlong into real estate even though I have no clue what I am doing.Anyone willing to mentor :)I am not sure what I have to offer anyone else at this point, but im thinking blogs would be a good place to start for people, like myself, that haven't got a clue.

Hire a GC (or a mentor/partner rehabber) and see how he works, then maybe on your next you could be independent.You might break even on this one, maybe up to 10k, but at least you'll gain knowledge, and that's important.Good luck.
