Before going this route, I did a lot of research on other Airbnb's in La Mesa and discovered there are 4 other listings that have hundreds of reviews, which means they have been renting out their trailers on the website for years.Everything was going smooth until a compliance officer from the city knocked on our door and told us we are not allowed to have anyone in it and we need to bring in the awning/ slider and disconnect from the utilities.

I can always come up with a few hundred if not thousand here and there but it has been hard to save for investment.

The same number is listed hundreds of times and Craigslist can't seem to shut them down, yet I occasionally get flagged for no reason at all.

Work include whole house painting (wall, door, trim, cabinet and some shelf), new vinyl plank flooring, and add a shower in bathroom.

The tenant put the fire out, but it has destroyed the stove and cabinets above it, and coated the entire house with smoke damage.

I listened to hundreds of BP podcasts and read 3-5 books before buying anything. 

Don't worry, I'm still putting a few hundred aside a month in my emergency fund in case anything hits the fan!

Other than Whiskey Pete's casino at the California border it was all desolate empty desert for hundreds of miles.
