It was an open vaulted ceiling with floor to ceiling windows on a slab.Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, except in this house the owner had some electrical issues and decided to take the cheap way out to repair it by running all the wiring outside the walls in channels like you would find in an industrial application.

LEAVE HIM ALONE...... geez...... you are lucky he responded at all.....don't expect him to dig up some other referral for you or help you with the situation.....LEAVE HIM ALONE......Having the AC out sucks, but its not the end of the world...... suck it up....unless its a life threatening situation, relax... get some portable or wall units and deal with it a couple of days......In my area its not uncommon to be several days for an HVAC person to available period.... let alone someone you trust or have used.

Owning a condo can be worse than renting an apartment with bad neighbors because it is not so easy to give a 30-day notice to move out when you your next door neighbor cannot sleep unless he is playing his thumping music that vibrates your walls all night while you are trying to sleep.
