When I was coming up I liked different books at different times for different reasons, but I remember liking off the top of my head:Confessions of a real estate entrepreneur (commercial real estate broker who has rehabbed and leased large complexes and shopping centers)The Gary Keller books are pretty goodWilliam poorvu's ( Harvard professor)I was a finance major so I like the less narrative books, less schlocky, more analysis.Personal finance is an interactive math game with real world implications and life rewards.

While not foolproof, I actually screen the pets (no laughing)... we don't have a talk over the table... but I check if the pet was an issue at prior places and like to see them interact with the owner.
