That being said, I'm smart enough to know that I have a lot to learn from this community and other seasoned real estate veterans. 

Im new to REI as well and I'm just letting you know about the real estate investor clubs which is a gathering of all investors in the area; newbies and veterans in one place. 

I guess you could try to do it w/o informing the VA but they have due on sale clauses just like any other loan.If you are able to do it, I would think you can add a lot of value by marketing the property to Veterans . . . as a loan assumed by another Vet restores the VA benefit back to the original loan loan (normally it's restored when the loan is refied OUT of a VA loan or sold).

They also pay slightly higher than traditional tenants.Regardless of if you do Airbnb or cater to travelling nurses, I always advise doing everything you can to make your property photograph well.
