The evaporator coil sits at the indoor air handler (probably the same location as the furnace), and may or may not need to be replaced.Assuming you only need the outdoor unit (the condensing unit), you can find a cheap brand with a low-energy rating and low power rating (13 SEER and 2 Ton) for less than $1000 installed for each unit.More energy efficiency, more power, replacement of the indoor coil, etc, will drive the price up from there...

The installation will be a slab on grade, and I've read some negative reviews about installation on concrete and specifically basements, and one review of the Allure product had to rip it out after experiencing a chemical odor that wouldn't go away.Is the vinyl plank easy to swap out if you have damage?
