Doesn't seem possible considering you apparently need to make substantial repairs.Can't get another appraiser because that appraiser has the FHA appraisal case number and the appraiser is the only one that can release the case number to another appraiser.

One thought might be that if you're concerned about the time frame,  ask the buyers to extend the closing date to allow you to put the right pieces in play.

The Treasury Regulations are very clear that a Qualified Intermediary is not permitted to release the 1031 Exchange funds unless certain events have occurred such as the 45 calendar day identification period passing or the 180 calendar day exchange period passing.
