A deeper part of my consciousness grabbed on to that and it started a tiny spark. 

The house was little more than a tiny shack built at the turn of the 20th century, so we tore it down -- the deal was essentially just for the lot.  

For instance, we took out a 3.5% down payment FHA loan for a condo when we transferred for employment, allowing us a larger, nicer place for $100s less per month than we were paying for our tiny apartment nearby.  

I know where Butler is, a tiny town north of Pgh.

but that's it and that's Prime CA .. and it requires 20 to 30% cash into the deal.. the other thing you have a hard time with in some markets and much of the rust belt is your buying very inexpensive proeprteis and lenders don't want to make tiny loans.. they are not worth the time and the risk.

However, there is that tiny issue of having some debt before I can get there.  

Oh, it is so hard to adjust to working in tiny fragments of time!

, as a reward I get to buy a cute "tiny house" on 3 acres by Lake Huron for $5K down on a nice land contract (so much better than buying an expensive purse or something)...

At one time there were more PHD's in tiny Brevard County than anywhere except Silicon Valley (unsure if this is still true, but I know many are still there).Fort Myers is unique in that it is one of the top five growth markets in the United States, AND deals can still be found on the inexpensive end.

Less to clean 😉 I say all of this to get to the point of, how would you guys go about asking someone if you could use their land to park your Tiny House?
