NOTE: Occupancy tax/Lodging Tax/Hotel Tax.... you may hear each of these terms but don’t get discouraged they’re one in the same not 3 different taxes.NOTE: Nothing in this thread has anything to do with Income Tax other than the fact that the taxes you pay to the city/state/county are a write off at the end of the year to be deducted from your 1099 income.

I just roll it into my nightly rate.I'm in another market where AirBNB collects and remits the 9.75% state tax and 3% lodging tax - that money never comes to me, they add it on to the guest charges and (apparently) remit on my behalf.
