Near the university, the University Mall area is a smart pick with its consistent demand driven by university students and staff, boosted by redevelopment projects.

One of the things I am thinking about is the solvency of the University of Scranton. 

@Evelyn Allasi I understand your logic when considering the area, but the University created a lot of housing over the past decade that put pressure on people with houses that they had marketed to students.

But for real estate development there are not gurus like that really (other than land flippers), but there are a few colleges that actually have pretty good real estate development programs, such as Cornell, University of Southern California, Arizona State University and others.
