I know others have mentioned Idaho here, but I can attest to Eastern Idaho, we are very close to Yellowstone Park, the Pallisades, and other natural beauty including some ski resorts.

At 16, I was given the opportunity to live with my grandparents in Boynton Beach FL and left the Eastern Shore of VA.

If you're specifically wanting to focus on the Eastern Kansas side that is within the KC metro, Johnson County would be a great starting point to look into (Overland Park, Mission, Roeland Park, Olathe, Prarie Village, Leawood, Shawnee to name a few).

-West Chula Vista: Can you think of anywhere in So Cal where the Eastern part of the city is cheaper than near ocean/bay?   

The rental market is really good there especially in the eastern section by Loyola.  

I grew up in the south eastern part of Pennsylvania (about 1.5 hours from Philadelphia).  

Just looking for better markets with better income levels, im in western mass not eastern mass, where boston is..

However, the Chicago Metro area is still growing and I foresee it in 20-30 years covering all of Northern Eastern Illinois in a semi-circle from the Rockford/Beloit area curving down to Kankakee and then upwards through NW Indiana.

The Norris Group has been making a big push in that direction but I am a little too far our for The Norris Group (eastern Kern County) but I am hoping to find a lender in Bakersfield or southern central valley with a similar program.
