All your expenses accumulate to form the basis cost of the inventory you purchased to flip, and the basis is subtracted from the sales price whenever the inventory is sold to get the gross profit.

When the thermocouple "opens", no voltage is generated, and no gas goes to the main burner.The pilot tubing just might have some accumulated debris, so as suggested in another post you might want to clean this.
