Just enrolled in my real estate course for next month.

Currently enrolled at Concordia University, I'm trying to take this time in my life to educate myself about real estate investing so I am prepared to make deals once I have enough borrowing power.

I can see growing number of students enroll in massive online courses taught by prestigious professors at top-tier universities, saving tens of thousands per year while getting better education.Personally I decided not to invest in student rentals, even though I work on the campus of one university, and live near another.

So the JADU would be enrolled into the program and the city inspects on some regular basis.

Enroll in the school of hard nocks - better yet - enroll in the school of learning from other people's mistakes and you will likely fair far better than the typical investor starting out with a RE degree. 

@Teresa F. the challenge right now is that we cannot get a response from DCHA to get enrolled in the program.

I am turning 18 not too far from now and plan on enrolling to take online real estate classes in the next month or so to receive my RE license and work that job part time to save enough money to eventually start my real estate investing career as well.

Its easy to say I have caught the bug for it and with my excitement my girlfriend has as well and she's currently enrolled in a real estate agent course.

One of the big reasons we want to make the move is to get our kids into the boundary of a certain school to get them enrolled in a language immersion program (guaranteed in if you are inside the neighborhood boundary of the school).This would be on a 1 year lease, and the intention is that we would be looking for a new permanent home and hope to have bought by the time the lease is up anyway.
