Unemployment here is running at least 1 percentage point higher than the national average and we're still among the top forecloser locations.I hate the doom and gloom, but we won't be depleting our foreclosed inventory any time soon (see 3-5 years minimum).

If the consensus among the three is anywhere near your insurance payment - then you take those to the insurance agency and get more from them.As far as speaking with the GCs, you should not disclose the number, but as mentioned above, they will have $$ in their eyes as they know its an insurance paid-for job.

Eliminate the use of debt as much as possible, saving cash reserves, diversification of investments, math equations, insurance up to the wazoo for everything we can think of (life, disability, long term care, umbrella liability),and among the many of other things of course you need to keep giving back and educating yourself, which is why we post in these forums.

We've also butted heads quite a bit in what feels to me like a power struggle because he's rather arrogant (he believes he's among the best contractors in Atlanta and in the entire state of Georgia, despite no evidence that that's the case), very headstrong about wanting an equal share of the business' profits and an equal level of authority, despite the fact that he's clearly not pulling his weight and is slowing things down dramatically.
