Make a habit of visiting any that you happen by.  

For example, my local code states that the maximum number of people living in a building must be less than twice the number of "habitable rooms". 

If you get something multi family, just make sure one if the units is habitable, even if its not ideal living quarters.

You won't win all the time and having a good support team is vital to success. 

Anyone shopping for $1M+ house is hardly going to change their purchase habits over this small tax change.

Your repair cost would be low, but your unit is not habitable....

More experienced / transfer agents are different and I’m coming to be able to figure a clue to their work history by their “habits,” in general.I think another poster said it, “do what you are comfortable.”

I feel like as long as the unit is habitable, that's more their problem than mine.
