You can flip homes in neighborhoods you wouldn't necessarily live in but you'll have to do renovations that might not be up to your standards too.

It is very difficult to structure a PE deal when the other partner(s) is not also bringing cash in or is in some way developing/renovating the property.

I negotiated the cost of the repair at closing knowing the whole bathroom needed renovating.
