Would I contact the previous closing attorney and tell them I need a quit claim deed from the people I technically bought from?

It seems very appealing to me since healthcare professionals make a decent living and tend to be great people.

I have been telling people for years now that it is not just ok to buy investment property before your primary residence, but I prefer it. 

But for tech background people from bay area, 2-3 hours different is still okay-ish.You can work from hawaii, no need to wait for retirement.

Multis feel more like a house and you have one person living with you (or 2 or 3 depending on duplex, trip, or quad), whereas an apartment complex has more amenities, but people sharing walls everywhere.

A graph of growth or profitability gives a visual that some people may find easier to understand.

But the reality is most people rent these spaces, a lot of homeowners depend on this income. 

Personally, I've been investing more than 50 years and never looked at the demographics for a neighborhood one time because I always felt that you need more personal knowledge about the neighborhood e.g. whether it is blue-collar working people, whether it infested with gangbangers, what the ability to increase rents is, etc. and the only way to get a good feeling and understanding is to personally visit the neighborhoods in the daytime, evenings and on weekends because weekends and nighttime is when the bad people come out like cockroaches.

Just like some people prefer pick up trucks to cars or Chevy to Ford.
