I have even advised my daughter in LA who would love to buy a house but cannot afford, with the prices off the roof, to start saving and prepare herself to buy in a couple of years.I'm hoping to be ready for it!!!

I had someone liquidate their kid's college savings once.College is important, so I semi-jokingly calculated it out as a hard money loan from the 6 year old to her parents, 2 points and 12%, amortized over 4 years, and encouraged them to make this their new monthly payment to their daughter's college savings, after which they can resume their previous contribution amounts.

Currently it is 1:15 am and we just put our daughter down for the 3rd time tonight (cutting teeth).

My wife and I are retired.........................and we have a son and daughter, both in college. 

The house across from him is vacant and the owners daughter is going to sell it.

PS I had to go to Hollywood this week to pick up youngest daughter .. drove from Vegas and back in one day.. forgot how insane the LA traffic is..

Income: Full time income was 250k, but my wife stays home with our daughter now so its 150k going forward.
