They also recommended we have a basement company come in and really seal up the basement, and this would include digging around the house to install pipes to help water flow away from the house; $10-15k.They also found a small amount of mold in the basement, and a good amount of mold in the attic; approximately $4,500 to remove.To top it all off, they noticed that there had been a fire in the basement; the subfloor above is black/charred. 

I have a carpet guy that can get carpet installed in less than a week, because I buy all my carpet from him.

They typically are some sort of crack in the wall, which get repaired by installing a beam in the concrete slab up to the floor joists in order to minimize the wall span.

I will install remote security, including front and back entry cameras.

The downside is that because they are stock cabinets there are not alot of 'custom' things you can do with them.PS - If you use any major retailer to install your cabinets, alot of times they will give you the cabinets for free and have you make up the cost in installation so you can save sales tax.

As for flooring, I think I will keep the existing carpet (LR, BRs), clean them up, and install wood look like vinyl planks in the kitchen.

The new water heaters were left right inside the house in plain view through the front windows, to be installed the next day.
