Build professional relationships, they will likely share documents that they use and information about title companies and other relevant services.

Now that I am putting a stake in the ground and claiming to the world- I am a Real Estate Investor, I figured I better man up and join BP professional. 

Any introductions to a Real Estate professional in Milwaukee that owns rental properties themselves would be greatly appreciated!

@Darrell Bratton I thought about going the inspection route, but my professional background lends itself more to appraising.

While investment groups are good, I also recommend you also schedule lunch/beer/coffees with a range of active professionals across the spectrum: brokers, title, CPA, small contractor, attorney, etc.  

There are plenty of other parts of town with good schools too - this is just a start.There's also lots of flipping activity ITP, targeting young professionals and married couples with no kids yet.

I feel bad for the tenants having their property damaged but unless there's some video proof, there doesn't seem like a whole lot anyone can do.

This is your first decision as a Real Estate professional.
