I believe 20% of the depreciation claimed over the time of ownership is added as tax to the sale of the home/asset.If anyone has avoided this tax, other than with a 1031 exchange, we would be interested in your approach.

I know some great 1031 exchange facilitators for all those California investors with equity wanting to get away from the CA shenanigans!

This is just a simple example and other features can become even more difficult to determine so what are some of  the best ways to figure out the numbers in order to be as precise as possible?
