In my opinion, if you want your property to charge a reasonable rent and attract local tenants, you'll want to outstand other homes in the area – especially in amenities.

I have an outstanding property management company that I work with, an incredible GC, connects to various trades, etc. 

At this point in time, I have the option to pay off the outstanding balance of my student loans with the money I’ve saved up in the last year, but chose again to proceed with a second house hack.

I could go out and get a line of credit on a fleet of 747s and people on BP would call it a HELOC.

I know of no buy n hold investor in San Diego that has held at least 5 years that did not have an outstanding return.  

If I sold my house, I could apply the proceeds to the outstanding debts.

During the title search, the title company also looks for any outstanding mortgages, liens, judgments or unpaid taxes associated with the property, as well as any restrictions, easements, leases or other issues that might impact ownership.
