Hi,This is sort of a unique question that I've been struggling to find guidance to online.  

I heard about Bigger Pockets while watching an online video about getting started in real estate and that this was the "go to" site for people in the industry.  

You'd want to make sure that the individual soliciting you for investments operates with Integrity, is Trustworthy, and has a nice list of completed projects.If you have no completed projects under your belt, bring in someone who does

I've heard it takes 4 months for a house to go from pre foreclosure to foreclosure, but i've seen houses online that have been in pre foreclosure since Oct of last year.

Paying them cash does not protect you if they get hurt while they are running around doing things for you...VA's are great, but that is really for online type of work.
